Robert Harrell Scott, 78, of Columbus, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at his home. Robert was born in Terre Haute, IN on May 6, 1943 to Harrell Scott and Ruth Eskew Scott. Robert was a member of Fairlawn Presbyterian Church. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana State University and his Masters Degree from Butler University. He was a retired Pharmacist from Kroger Pharmacy. He enjoyed watching his granddaughters play soccer. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Elizabeth R. Kirkpatrick officiating. Calling will be Monday, January 24, 2022 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery. Survivors include his sons, Gregory H. Scott of Austin, TX and John Aaron Scott of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Taylor and Morgan Scott of Columbus, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrell and Ruth Scott. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
