Darlene E. Mullis, 68, of Columbus, died at 1:58 a.m. January 27, 2020, at I.U. Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Darlene was born January 14, 1953 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Alva Mullis and Leatha Beabout Mullis. Darlene loved drawing and painting. While residing at Hickory Creek, they said she was the life of the party. Her greatest love was her children and grandchildren. . The funeral at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home Friday, January 31, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be from 12:00–2:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Larry Fields. Survivors include son, Brian Mullis of Minnesota, Cory (Renee) Mullis of Columbus, and Joshua Wyatt of Elizabethtown; brothers, Tommy Mullis of Richmond, Kentucky and Jack Mullis of Columbus; sister, Doris Hallberg of Minnesota; grandchildren, Aliyah Gobell, Braeden Berger, Chase Mitchell, Lilli Judd, Taylor Sanders and Logan Sanders, Cory Mullis Jr.; great-grandchildren, Ruthealla Gobell, Ayden Mullis and Lilly Mullis She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Albert Mullis and Charles Mullis; sisters, Carolyn Mullis, Waneta Kinser and Luessie Hartwell; grandchild, Lakeshia Hays.
