Betty Jean Cutsinger, 81, of Columbus, died at 10:56 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2022. Betty was born on January 29, 1941, in Marion, Virginia. She married Jackie Thomas Cutsinger on May 21, 1958. Betty enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching soap operas and game shows. Betty was a retired LPN from Columbus Transitional Health and Rehabilitation. She collected teddy bears and while her husband was still living her lovingly referred to her as his grumpy teddy bear. Betty’s grandchildren were her world. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The funeral will be at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2022, with Pastor Perry Cook officiating. Calling will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at the funeral home. Survivors include son, Gary Cutsinger of Scipio and Rick Cutsinger of Columbus; daughters, Sharon Cutsinger (Rick Mathews) and Debra Fields both of Columbus; brothers, Gerald Lowman, Rufus Lowman and Roger Lowman; sisters, JoAnn Rich, Angela Christian, Teresa Davis, and Melissa McConnell; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband and in-laws, Opal and Byron Cutsinger, and 2 great-grandchildren.
