Kenneth F. Frazier

Kenneth Frazier, 82, of Columbus, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Ken was born November 12, 1941, to the late Delbert Frazier and Ben and Nellie Lee Hersley in Greensburg, Indiana. He was a 1960 graduate of Greensburg High School and was united in marriage to Debbie Powers Carpenter in August of 1991. Ken was employed at Cummins Engine Company for a few years and then went to work for Bohn Aluminum and Brass Company (ML-KS and KS Bearings) for 35 years in the Engineering and Sales Departments. Ken’s faith was very important to him, as he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior in the mid-1960s. At that time, and for several years he attended Shiloh Baptist Church and later began attending Asbury United Methodist Church. He loved traditional hymns and Southern gospel music. Ken was also a sports lover throughout his life and enjoyed watching and cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers, as well as the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Pacers, he was a member of Kiwanis for many years as well. He is survived by his wife; his best friend, Debbie Frazier of Columbus, his Children Sherry (Scott) Seavers of Columbus, Chris (Stacy) Frazier of Columbus, and Kelly (Colin) Hudson of Wilmette, Illinois. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Isabella Seavers, Chase Hudson, and Peyton Hudson; his brothers, Gary Hersley, Delbert Frazier, Audie Frazier, Tim Frazier, Marty Frazier, Randy Frazier, and Shane Frazier, along with his sister Judy Burton. Ken was preceded in death by his parents Nellie and Ben Hersley, and Delbert and Doris Frazier, his son; Kevin Carpenter, his grandson, Kian Carpenter, and a brother, Donnie Frazier. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Nick Robinson, and Rev. Robert Lay officiating on May 4, 2024, beginning at 11:00 AM. A time of visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Graveside services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made through the funeral home to Shiloh Baptist Church, Asbury United Methodist Church, or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
