Carolyn Sue Endicott

Carolyn Sue Endicott passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at her home. She was born on March 18, 1938, to Walter and Freda (Southard) Stewart in Noblesville, Indiana. Carolyn graduated from Noblesville High School in 1956, went to Ball State University for one year, and then quit and got married. She moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, and worked at 5/3 bank for a few years while her first husband was in college, after moving to Columbus, Indiana. She worked for First National Bank for several years, and during that time she had two children: Deborah Ann and Donald Gene Wood II. She got her Brokers License in 1969 and then worked in real estate until 1989; after that she managed Flintwood North Apartments and Professional Office Suites with secretarial service for occupants. In 2008 she started worked for Division of Family Services, where she retired from in 2023. Carolyn married Roy Allen Endicott in 1994, they enjoyed working together in the yard, and on their house plants; riding snow mobiles in Michigan, and Wyoming, four wheeling, and traveling before his death in 2004. In her younger years, she also experienced snow skiing, and sailing in the Virgin Islands. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, family, and her granddaughter, Shawnee, and great-granddaughter, Mahara. Surviving are her son, Donald (Isabel) Wood, of French Lick, Indiana; granddaughter, Shawnee (Anthony) Elkins, and great-granddaughter, Mahara, both of Terre Haute, Indiana; granddaughter, Courtney (Joe) DeWeese, and great-grandchildren, Hunter, and Malayna, all of Centerpoint, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Freda Stewart; husband, Roy Allen Endicott; daughter, Deborah Ann Perkins, and brothers, Keith R., and Kenneth W. Stewart. Carolyn enjoyed meeting people, and appreciated her many friends, co-workers, and family during her lifetime, and especially during her illness. In keeping with her wishes, Cremation was requested through the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flower, those wishing may make memorial donations through the funeral home to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
